For the Prague location of La Bodeguita del Medio, Valecasa designed and delivered a custom interior that reflects the warmth, rhythm, and energy of Cuban culture while adapting to a European hospitality setting.
Our scope included tailored seating, bar elements, and durable furniture designed for high turnover service. Hand-finished woodwork, vintage-inspired textures, and layered detailing create a distinctive, character-driven interior without replicating the past.
The concept was developed around an evolving design approach. A signature wall is intentionally left open for guest signatures, allowing the space to continuously change over time. Lighting was also designed for flexibility — instead of fixed disco fixtures, we introduced adjustable ambient lighting with programmable color settings to suit different occasions, from live music nights to regular service.
The result is a lively, operationally efficient bar interior that continues to grow with its audience while maintaining a strong identity within Prague’s nightlife scene.
