For the Prague location of La Bodeguita del Medio, Valecasa designed and delivered a custom interior that reflects the warmth, rhythm, and energy of Cuban culture while adapting to a European hospitality setting.
Our scope included tailored seating, bar elements, and durable furniture designed for high turnover service. Hand-finished woodwork, vintage-inspired textures, and layered detailing create a distinctive, character-driven interior without replicating the past.
The concept was developed around an evolving design approach. A signature wall is intentionally left open for guest signatures, allowing the space to continuously change over time. Lighting was also designed for flexibility, instead of fixed disco fixtures, we introduced adjustable ambient lighting with programmable color settings to suit different occasions, from live music nights to regular service.
The result is a lively, operationally efficient bar interior that continues to grow with its audience while maintaining a strong identity within Prague’s nightlife scene.
