La Langostería is a seafood restaurant in Prague, part of the La Bodeguita group, designed to bring a Caribbean and Mediterranean atmosphere into the heart of the city. The concept is rooted in coastal living, where materials, colors, and textures evoke a relaxed yet refined seaside experience. The interior balances lightness and warmth, combining whitewashed surfaces, natural wood flooring, and layered blue tones that reflect both the ocean and Mediterranean architecture.
A defining element of the space is the use of custom-designed furniture, tailored specifically for the concept. Seating features shell-inspired upholstered chairs in soft leather, creating both visual identity and comfort, while built-in banquettes and loose seating are arranged to support both intimate dining and larger groups. Blue-painted structural elements, railings, and detailing introduce a strong visual rhythm throughout the space, contrasted by neutral walls and natural textures. Decorative elements such as fishing nets, coastal objects, and curated wall compositions reinforce the seafood narrative without becoming overly thematic.
The spatial layout is designed to feel open and inviting, enhanced by double-height volumes, natural light, and indoor greenery, including palm features that soften the architecture and strengthen the tropical identity. Material choices are intentionally tactile and durable for hospitality use, combining wood, leather, stone surfaces, and handcrafted finishes, allowing the space to age naturally while maintaining its character. The result is a seafood restaurant interior in Prague that feels transportive yet grounded, a space where design, materiality, and atmosphere work together to create a distinct dining experience inspired by coastal cultures.
"It doesn’t feel like Prague anymore when you step inside. The design captures exactly the mood we wanted."
