Custom Teak Portable Houses & Prefabricated Pavilion Villas for Resorts and Private Islands — Crafted in Jepara, Indonesia

Bespoke teak wooden houses, modular tropical villas, and prefabricated resort pavilions designed for island hospitality developments worldwide.

Located in the Mentawai Islands, Indonesia, Mentawais Uma is a tropical hospitality project developed for Hidden Bay Resort. Inspired by traditional Balinese and Javanese villa architecture, Valecasa designed and produced a series of custom teak wooden portable houses and prefabricated pavilion villas for the resort.

Each structure was customized and fabricated in our workshop in Jepara, Indonesia, the historic center of Indonesian teak craftsmanship. Built primarily from solid teak wood, the units were engineered as modular and transportable tropical pavilions, allowing them to be delivered and assembled in remote island locations while maintaining durability and natural elegance.

Drawing from the architectural language of rumah pondok-style pavilions and traditional teak gazebos, the design emphasizes open-air living, minimal profiles, and materials suited for coastal environments. Handcrafted furniture, teak loungers, and woven elements complement the architecture while supporting the needs of a high-end resort environment.

The result is a collection of prefabricated teak villas and portable resort houses that combine traditional Indonesian craftsmanship with contemporary tropical hospitality design, ideal for boutique resorts, private island developments, and eco-luxury destinations.
